The weekend was a mixed bag in many ways. First, there was the weather. On Saturday, we had a beautiful sunny day with temperatures near 60 degrees. Evan took his first bike ride of the season over to Davis Hill Elementary School. As you can see, he really got himself decked out for the event. Later that day, the Brothers YZ went over to Nana and Grampa's house for a dinner playdate so that Mommy and Daddy could have a dinner date.
On Sunday, we awoke to chilly temperatures with rain, wind and fog. So we went to the Worcester Art Museum for their family day along with Uncle Brian, Henry, and the rest of the young families in Worcest
er Country. Evan was able to do two art projects--sky painting and kaleidascope--with Daddy while Henry and Liam toured the museum in their strollers. Both of them would have been happier to chase each other around the museum and touch the works of art, but they seemed to enjoy each other's company despite their confinement. A proud Cioci Nicki got to hear many of Henry's new words.

A proud Cioci Nicki got to hear many of Henry's new words. On both days, we endured the mood swings and irritability of a two year old on Prednisone. As Liam was recovering from his latest double ear infection, he came down with the croup. Over the week, he had been becoming increasing cranky, sleeping less and less, and coughing more. By Thursday morning, he was coughing non-stop so it was back to the pediatrician. The good news was that the ear infection was healing nicely, but the bad news was that the cough was group and needed 5 days of Prednisone. The Prednisone got rid of the cough quickly, but it has left us with an even crankier Liam with little rest at night for anyone but Evan. Liam has had moments of his usual good-natured, happy self, but he has done more screaming, crying, and angry outbursts than I have ever seen. I miss my little angel!
