Disney on Ice
Last night my mother and I took Evan to see Disney on Ice at the DCU Center in Worcester. I had been keeping it a surprise until we arrived at the DCU center. All Evan knew was that he had a date with Nana and Mommy in the big city. He was very impressed with the parking garage and was amazed by the ice rink with the castle stage. In fact, he initially thought that was the ice show. He was very serious throughout the ice show and well behaved. He was very good about all of the vendors in the aisles and did not harass me to buy things much at all. He did get scared during the Beauty and the Beast segment that featured lots of thunder, loud music, and darkness, and he ran for the exit. His favorite part of the ice show was the toy soldiers with guns from Toy Story. I was disappointed that they did not include the Cars Movie in their 100 year retrospective. Evan did mention once that he hoped Cars would be there, but he never mentioned it again. All in all, it was a successful first big show for Evan.
