Evan continues to ask lots of questions about God, and many of his questions involve dogs. Yesterday, a conversation in the car went like this--
Evan: Do dogs miss their people when they are with God?
Nicole: I think they are happy with God and like to watch their people from heaven.
Evan: God lives on a cloud, right? How come the dogs don't fall off the cloud and end up back on earth?
Nicole: Speechless. (I think Evan is picturing heaven as the last page of Go, Dogs, Go with a dog party on a cloud instead of the tree and God in the middle of it all.)
This weekend is the feast day for St. Francis of Assisi, who is the patron saint for our church, so that will be the focus at church school. In the afternoon, we plan to bring Finbar to the church to be blessed, or as Evan, has said "prayed." Expect more on God and dogs.
