Attacking the Leaves, Part 1

This weekend we started to attack the leaves building up in our yard. Given the number of leaves still clinging to our trees, this attack was the first part in a series of unlimited installments. Unfortunately, we not successful in convincing the professional clean-up crew that our neighbor hires, "Leave It to Us," that our front yard was an extension of theirs. But, each year Greg and I find more low-tech ways to make this operation more efficient. Last year we discovered realized the full potential of the plastic tarp. (And, Finbar has discovered another use for the tarp as seen below.) This year another neighbor introduced to the wonders of the trash barrel on wheels and offered us some space in his woods to dump our leaves. He probably felt bad for us when he saw Evan using his tiny bucket to fill up a leaf bag. Imagine the money we will save in leaf bags! As you can see, the entire family is getting in on this operation.
