Evan and Liam are ON THE MOVE!

Evan and Liam are on the move both literally and figuratively. The Brothers YZ and their parents are in the midst of Memory Walk season which is the largest fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association. Because Mommy works for the Alzheimer's Association, Evan and Liam are participating in not one, but two, walks. Evan is the team captain for Take Control!, and he has been wearing his whistle and badge, as pictured on the right, proudly. The Take Control! team has so far raised over $700. At our first walk of the season in Worcester last weekend, Evan completed half of his one mile goal. He will have the chance to complete the other half in Gardner in front of his adoring great-aunts and great-grandparents. We'll keep everyone posted on his efforts.

Both Evan and Liam have also made major progress this week more literally in terms of locomotion. At long last, Evan has started to peddle his tricycle. It was difficult for him to reach the peddles with his short stature, and he preferred the speed of the Flinstone method. And, Liam has perfected an inchworm crawl that enables to explore all corners of our family room in no time flat. I wish that I was skilled enough to include a video of Liam's moves on the blogspot because his moves cannot be captured in still photos or words. He is so adept at getting around like an inchworm that I am not sure he will try the traditional crawling. Liam has also tried to pull himself up on the train table a few times, and he has gotten very close to doing it.

The gates are back, and our lives are about to get even more active than before!
