Swimming Lessons

Last week the Brothers YZ hit the Holden pool for their swimming lessons. Mommy has been taking some time off these two weeks to go to swimming lessons with Liam and allow Evan to have more lessons than his Saturday class provide. Despite being one of the youngest and smallest children in his class, Evan has been doing well with such skills as searching for pirate treasure, pretending to be an alligator and crab, and jumping into the arms of his lovely teacher in the deep end. He has even braved the water slide twice--once with his teacher and once with Daddy.

After a bit of a rocky start, Liam has really started to take to the swimming lessons. For the first few lessons, Liam was obsessed with chewing on the noodles and did not want to try anything new. On the Fourth of July, the small class size and presence of Daddy seemed to turn him around. As you will see in the video, he loves using the kickboard. He went down the water slide with Daddy. Today he jumped into Mommy's arms into the big pool and allowed Mommy to float him. He stayed in the class for the whole 25 minutes except when he ran off to try to join Evan in the big boy class. Fortunately, a hug and kiss from big brother was all he needed.
