We took the boys on a day trip to Providence on Saturday including a stop at the Capron Park Zoo where there was a lot of action at which to point. The first exhibit included turtles, kangaroos, and emus, and surprisingly, the turtles were getting all of the attention. While Evan and Liam did not seem to notice a turtle tryst, onlookers were taking pictures and videos. (I declined to take a video for the blog for fear that it would not meet with blogger--or my readers-- approval, but maybe it is on You Tube). Greg and I didn't think it was possible for turtles to look excited, but they can. Then, it was off to see some G-rated exhibits like otters, sloth bears, and snow leopards. It was not long before love was in the air again. This time it was the lions, and the female lion was not interested in the male lion's advances causing a bit of a scuffle complete with loud roarring. Liam was too low in his stroller to witness the action, but Evan took an interest. His take on the scene was "I don't think that the Mommy Lion wanted to arm wrestle with the Daddy Lion today."
In comparison, the rest of the weekend was tame but no less enjoyable. Today we had the joy of babysitting Baby Henry for the first time. Evan took him around the neighborhood to meet some of his friends, and the cousins had so much fun playing that Baby Henry didn't want to take a nap. Hopefully, Aunt Meg and Uncle Brian aren't paying his playdate tonight. We can't wait for our next babysitting request!

Thanks for watching him! It was great to see a movie with each other again. Henry slept like a dream, 7:15-3 and then 3:30-6. I guess the boyz tuckered him out. If it were possible for him to collapse in his jumperoo he would have.
