behaved with some excellent party planning by the birthday girl's mom.
After the party, we had to rush home to get Liam in his costume for trick-or-treating with Cousin Henry. As you can see, we had a police officer, fire fighter, and tiger. Liam and Henry did a short route to friends in the neighborhood while Evan did a longer route with Greg. Henry did a great job walking about, and Liam was more safety conscious than usual. I think that his obsession with the tiny bag of M&Ms in his hand curbed his instict to run. In truth, I think Liam would have been happy to call it a night after getting this bag of M&Ms from our neighbors across the street. Liam had trouble getting the concept of trick-or-treating. Why wait to eat a perfectly good bag of candy?
Nana and Grampa also joined in on the fun. They came over in their own costumes to man the Pioneer House while the trick-or-treaters were out. Evan had fun borrowing Grampa's light-up glasses/mustache. After trick-0r-treating, we all sat down to some chili and mac & cheese--a Halloween tradition with the Gemborys/McGurin clan.
