After a week of beautiful weather, we endured a damp and rainy weekend with the devil child, a.ka. Evan. We are usually spoiled by two easy-going, sweet children, but when Evan goes to the dark side, he does it with gusto. All weekend he was fixated on two negative behaviors--putting things in his mouth and knocking over his brother. While Liam was not very bothered by the pushing, we didn't want to start a trend of this aggression. Admittingly, our discipline is not very consistent or effective probably due to lack of need, and let's just say, in the words of wise Nana, TGIM. Unfortunately, Evan's day at school didn't lack very long due to an intestinal issue about an hour after arrival. It seemed to be a one time thing, and we had fun playing hooky. As Evan saw it, "I had an accident a school. Now it's a Mommy day. Yeah!"
The highlight of the weekend was a last minute Cuatro de Mayo celebration. Evan was able to put his wild boy behavior on display for Nana, Grampa, Uncle Brian, Aunt Meg, and Henry. The below video captures a little of the flavor of the weekend with Evan. It's a little long, but who can complain with such cute kids to display. Henry seems to get great amusement out of his cousins, and Evan and Liam adore him.

Henry started smiling when I played this video. Just the sound of his cousin singing makes him happy. :)
