Big City Adventure

Yesterday we went on a big adventure to visit Boston for the first time with the Brothers YZ. We took the subway into Downtown Crossing and walked to Quincy Market and the waterfront. To give the Brothers YZ a break from confinement in the stroller, we first went to Christopher Columbus Park where there is a great playground with a views of the harbor and city. Then, we had a very touristy lunch at the Cheers restaurant where the only casualty of the day occurred. (Liam had the messiest diaper of his life that I had to change on a broken changing table. I ended up throwing out his new shirt, and he was carried through the restaurant in only his diaper where a new outfit waited.) Now poop-free and nourished, we headed to the New England Aquarium to see the seals, penguins, and fish. Evan was very impressed with the "Dory" fish, sharks, manta rays, and tortoises. Liam was not as impressed, but he did take a good nap in his stroller. On the way back to the subway, we took in some street entertainment at Faneuil Hall where Evan picked up some new moves from some hip-hop dancers. Of course, he could not wait until he got home to try out these new moves and immediately hit the cobblestones with some breakdancing. If only I had gotten that on video!
