On Wednesday evening, we returned safely from our wild, wild west adventure. The Brothers YZ were once again very good little passengers, but we were very grateful for the jet stream that carried the plane into Manchester about 40 minutes ahead of schedule. Four hours is still a long time to be confined to three seats in an airplane without audiovisual entertainment.
Our last two days in Surprise were just as much fun as the rest of our vacation. (Grammy and Gram
py planned some very special day trips for the Brothers YZ.) On Monday, we visited the McCormick Railroad Park in Scottsdale in the afternoon where Evan and Liam enjoyed a ride on a carousel and a train. Liam and Daddy got to enjoy the sights on the train ride as they sat in one of the open-air cars, while Mommy and Evan were caged in the a very small cattle car in the back. You can guess whose choice that was! There was another great playground and a toddler-sized western town. That night we attended Zoo Lights at the Phoenix Zoo which is an amazing holiday and animal light display that make the lights at LaSalette Shrine look like no big deal.

my and Grampy while Mommy and Daddy enjoyed a date. Liam had so much fun that earned the nickname "Mr. Giggles." Evan entertained Grammy in the backyard for almost two hours. That is a lot of playing firefighters! We capped off the day with the Charlie Brown Christmas special in which Snoopy's antics made Evan roar with laughter.

He proudly entered the classroom holding his picture sitting atop a shark on the endangered species carousel at the Phoenix Zoo in front of him. We all had a great time on our wild, wild west adventure. A big thank you to Grammy and Grampy!
