It is heartwarming to see how much Liam's developmental progress impresses Evan. Yesterday he was geniunely excited about the news of the second tooth. Then, this morning when we went into Liam's room to check on him, we found that Liam was already awake playing with his feet. Evan said, "He woke up with the lights off. How clever is that!" as he beamed at his baby brother. I never thought that Evan would take to being a big brother as quickly and as enthusiastically as he has. I didn't think it was possible for a 6 month old and 3 year old to already have such a close relationship. Of course, being someone who shares a special bond with her own little (but bigger) brother, it makes me very happy to see it. Let's hope that it continues.
