Evan is Seven!

It's been way too long since my last post, and I've got a lot of catching up to do. We've had an exciting summer with lots of pictures to share--some stuck on my new android waiting to get out. I figured I'd start at Evan's birthday, the day after my last post.

As is typical for the Brothers YZ, the birthday celebration lasted about one week. It started on the actual birthday with one present from Mom and Dad and one present from Liam and sugar cereal for breakfast.
Evan and I spent the afternoon together making preparations for his pool party. It was a super-hot day and perfect for a pool party. Even an "accident" at the pool could not put a damper on it. (Thank goodness there are two pools.) We had about 20 kids plus parents for pizza, pirate cupcakes that were practically melting in the heat, and swimming.

The following weekend we had family over for a second party. We were very excited to have Grampy from Arizona and Aunts Bern and Patti in the house to share in the festivities. We were also excited to discover that the Big Y makes devil's food cake, Evan's favorite. It was a fabulous day for visiting with family, eating cold food, and watching the cousins be adorable. Evan receives lots of great presents. Thank you to everyone who made his birthday so wonderful!
