After several weeks of rehearsal, the Transfiguration Pagaent took place today at church. Liam had participated in the rehearsals and had the "Twelve Apostles" song memorized, but he opted to watch the pagaent which was a good decision. The pagaent was adorable! It took place at the gospel reading with the kids acting out the transfiguration story with a few spoken lines and some special effects. Evan played Apostle James, son of Zebedee. He was one of the three Apostles who saw Jesus on top of the mountain talking to Moses and Elijah. With this part, he was trusted to operate a flashlight to shine on Jesus' robe to make it appear "dazzling white." He had to fall to his knees in fear until Jesus told him that everything was okay. He did a great job and remembered his cues.
Surprisingly, Liam lasted throughout the entire Mass. One of the funnier moments was when Greg was doing the second reading. Liam had been intently coloring in his Bible coloring book and did not notice when Greg walked up to the podium, but of course, he recognized his voice immediately and said, "What is Dad doing up there?" Fortunately, the question was in a quiet voice---much quieter than his humming of the Star Wars theme during Rev. Rich's sermon.

Did Liam hum the theme in tune?
I believe it was The Imperial March (Darth Vader's Theme).
He was defitnitely in tune, and he switches between the SW Theme Song and the Imperial March.
