This past week Evan performed in the latest Davis Hill production, Holiday Musical, suggested a multi-holiday approach, but instead it focused only on Christmas. I was not offended. You can get a sense of the scope of the production by the above picture, and this is only half the school. Mrs. Howard, the music teacher, certainly earns her salary. There were two separate productions. The basic jist of the musical was a bunch of kids having a sleepover on Christmas eve. Thus, all of the children got to wear their PJs, robes, and slippers to school that day. The fifth graders did all of the "acting" and dance solos. The kindergartners and first graders had one song on their own and joined in on the ensemble numbers.
I tried to get some good still shots and video of Evan in the performance, but with the huge cast
and his small stature, it was tough. So instead of Where's Waldo, it's where's Evan in these clips and photo. See if you can spot our own star in the making. He is wearing a green robe and red/green Christmas PJs behind the boy in orange PJs with the wacky dance moves. Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, local fans have been able to enjoy live encores of several muscial numbers.
