Happy Easter Weekend

The Brothers YZ enjoyed a wonderful Easter weekend. On Friday, we paid a visit to Cousin Henry who is looking like the spitting image of his daddy right now. Mommy and Nana enjoyed the chance to hold Henry again.

On Saturday, all of the neighbors came out of winter hiberation to have an Easter Egg Hunt. It was very cold, but at least, the kids did not need their snow shovels. Evan's sharp eyes came in handy for spotting the eggs. Liam did not care much for egg hunting, but he enjoyed showing off his walking prowness to the neighbors. Evan also colored some Easter eggs with Mommy. Of course, Evan remembered to put out a carrot and the Easter baskets on the front porch. (Earlier in the week, he had worried that the "dreaded rain" would interfere with the Easter Bunny's duties.)

On Easter morning, Evan rushed downstairs to see if the Easter Bunny had paid a visit. He was thrilled with the Easter Bunny's efforts. Before looking in his basket, he took out each item out of Liam's basket to show Liam what he had. Liam was most excited about his new sippy cups and seemed a little disappointed that they were empty. At breakfast, Evan decided that he did not want to eat the colored Easter eggs stating, "I like the ones with candy better." Then, it was off to Nana and Grampa's for an indoor Easter egg hunt, now an annual event, and Easter dinner with Babchi and Dziadek. Everyone had a wonderful time. In fact, upon leaving, Evan insisted on paying Nana a dollar found in one of the eggs because "we had a wonderful time." No one else gave her a tip, but she did deserve it.
