A few nights ago Greg was reading Evan a book that illustrated many popular Christmas hymns. One of the illustrations showed the baby Jesus floating in the air which sparked a most amusing conversation.
Evan: Why is the baby Jesus flying?
Greg: Because he has special powers. Like "magitch."
Evan: Why does he has special powers?
Greg: Because he is the son of God.
Evan: Who is God?
Greg: He is like our king.
Evan: Like the guy talking on TV. [The guy on TV to whom Evan was referring was Bill Clinton. When Evan saw him being interviewed on the Jon Stewart show, Greg explained that Bill Clinton used to be like a king.]
Just as Greg was trying to figure out how he would differentiate between God and Bill Clinton to a three year old, Evan diverted his attention to a more serious matter and commented, "That baby should be with his mother." And, so the bedtime stories continued.

I am relieved to hear that Evan's first exposure to presidential politics didn't involve George W. Bush!
Props to Kestrelia.
