After two days of celebration, Liam officially turned four years old yesterday. As his friend, Marissa wrote on her card, "That's a big boy number!" Because our Mondays are especially crazy with 5:00 PM swimming lessons, we decided to have our family party on Saturday night where we feasted on a new family favorite, ice cream cupcakes, and opened Liam's gifts from Mommy, Daddy, Evan, and Grammy and Grampy. Liam was thrilled with his big Anakin figure which he thinks costs $100 at Target. On Sunday, we had Liam's first party with friends at McDonalds Play Place. He actually wanted to have the party at home, but I was not up to entertaining 10 winterbound kids of different ages in my home for 2 hours. It was a pretty economical choice and definitely low-stress for Mom. All I had to do was send invitations and make up some goodie bags. A happy birthday for Liam and for me!
