Halloween Weekend

I'll start out this post by apologizing for not getting better pictures of the Brothers YZ and Cousin Henry in their Halloween costumes. The theme of a knight with his two dragons would have made for some great pictures if the cousins had been feeling more cooperative and I had been better prepared. Alas, Liam and Henry were tired, Evan was contrary, and I had neglected to charge my camera battery and make space for new pictures.

We still had a fun Halloween. In the afternoon, Liam and Evan enjoyed a Halloween story time and party at the Paxton library. Evan did insist on wearing his firefighter helmet instead of his knight hood, but otherwise he was very well behaved at the party. Later that evening, Cousin Henry came over to go trick or treating with Evan and Liam's friends. Nana and Grampa came over too to see the cousins in their costumes and to keep Finbar company during the trick or treating.

On Saturday, we continued the Halloween theme with a trip to Salem, Massachusetts. It was not one of our most successful day adventures. Salem still extremely crowded the day after Halloween, and there wasn't anything kid-friendly going on. Evan still got a kick out of the many witches walking about. Then, we headed to Marblehead in search of the ocean. We eventually found some nice ocean views at a park called Fort Sewall, but we were never able to find a beach where the boys could use their sand toys.
