Candlepin Bowling

We took the boys candlepin bowling for the first time this weekend, and we all had a blast. Candlepin had many advantages over ten pin including smaller, lighter balls and three chances per turn. Evan insisted on wearing his shorts to bowl due to the amount of exertion required to roll the ball, and the shorts look great with the shoes. As pictured above, Liam's method involved sitting down in front of the lane, placing the ball at his side, giving the ball a gentle push, and watching it roll ever so slowly toward the pins. By the time the ball reached the pins, the reaction was so gentle that it didn't always register. It was as if he was using "the force" to move the ball.
