On Friday night, we took the boys to Edaville, USA for the holiday light spectacular, and it was spectacular. When Liam awoke in the parking lot, he said, in awe, "It is so fireworky." It was pretty cold, but the boys lasted for about two hours of amusement rides, the train ride through the light display, and the playground. They loved the fact that they didn't have to wait in long lines like at Storyland.Then, on Saturday, the boys went to a Christmas party at the VFW hall with my grandfather. Evan was so excited to be attending a veterans' event that he got decked out in his camoflague pants and American flag t-shirt and packed a backpack full of equipment. The party did not disappoint with a magician, lunch, girls, and visit from Santa who had gifts. Evan was thrilled that Santa figured out how to make army legos, and Liam was impressed that Santa knew his real name (provided by Dziadek).
Today we had Christmas pagaent rehearsal at church. We thought that only Evan would be performing, but Liam couldn't be held back. He joined the kids at the altar and started singing and signing. Reverend Jill immediately found an adorable sheep costume for him, and in his words, "I'm in the play!" It will be a McGurin/Gemborys event with Greg as the Angel Gabriel, Evan as a shepherd, Liam as a sheep, and best of all, Hazel as Jesus. I can't wait to document the performance.
